This Week’s Deep-Value Landscape: Acquirer’s Multiple Large-Cap Screen

Tuesday, July 21, 2026 · Johnny Hopkins

This week’s Acquirer’s Multiple® Large-Cap screen continues to highlight attractive valuations across a broad range of sectors, even as investor attention remains heavily concentrated on artificial intelligence and mega-cap technology companies.

Despite enthusiasm surrounding AI-driven growth stories, this week’s screen uncovers opportunities across financial services, energy, healthcare, communications, consumer businesses, industrials, transportation, housing, and selected technology companies.

Financials remain well represented. Synchrony Financial (SYF), Northern Trust (NTRS), and SS&C Technologies (SSNC) continue generating meaningful earnings and cash flow while trading at valuations that remain modest relative to their long-term earning power.

Energy once again stands out as one of the most attractive areas of the screen. Equinor (EQNR), Petrobras (PBR), BP (BP), TotalEnergies (TTE), Shell (SHEL), HF Sinclair (DINO), Cheniere Energy Partners (CQP), and Cheniere Energy (LNG) continue generating significant cash flow despite uncertainty surrounding commodity prices. Many have maintained disciplined capital allocation while returning capital to shareholders.

Healthcare also provides attractive opportunities. Tenet Healthcare (THC), Cigna (CI), Sanofi (SNY), Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMY), Zoetis (ZTS), GE HealthCare Technologies (GEHC), Kenvue (KVUE), and CVS Health (CVS) benefit from resilient demand and established competitive positions while trading at reasonable valuations.

Communications and media businesses remain well represented. Fox Corporation (FOXA), Comcast (CMCSA), Charter Communications (CHTR), Ericsson (ERIC), Verizon Communications (VZ), and AT&T (T) operate established media and communications businesses while trading at valuation multiples well below many technology leaders.

Consumer businesses also feature throughout the screen, including Altria (MO), Best Buy (BBY), Kroger (KR), British American Tobacco (BTI), Ulta Beauty (ULTA), Unilever (UL), Tractor Supply (TSCO), and Lowe’s (LOW). These companies continue producing meaningful cash flow despite concerns surrounding consumer spending and economic uncertainty.

The screen also highlights opportunities across industrials, transportation, housing, materials, and technology. Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTSH), HP (HPQ), CF Industries (CF), PulteGroup (PHM), Ryanair (RYAAY), First Solar (FSLR), Sony (SONY), Honeywell (HON), Nutrien (NTR), UPS (UPS), and FedEx (FDX) demonstrate the breadth of opportunities beyond today’s most popular growth stocks.

Bottom Line

This week’s screen continues to reflect a market where strong cash flows, resilient profitability, and attractive valuations can still be found outside dominant AI and mega-cap narratives. For value-focused investors, opportunities remain across a diverse range of established businesses trading at considerably more modest valuations.
